2026 World Hockey Masters Indoor World Cup

Dudley Bartlett, Spares Manager (Stothert & Pitt, Bristol) has once again represented England at the recent World Hockey Masters Indoor World Cup held in Nottingham. This time playing for the over 60’s team.

102 teams took part from 15 countries, both men’s and ladies ranging from over 35 to over 65.

There were 9 teams in the over 60’s competition and after playing USA (win), Netherland (lost) & Canada (win) Dudley’s team had a shot at a bronze medal but went down 6-5 to the Swiss.

Due to the format, they ended up playing the Swiss team again for 4th/5th place and this time came out victorious with a 5-4 win and Dudley scoring a brace of goals to finish the event on a high.

Dudley said:

“When I first picked up a hockey stick as a 14 year old, little did I think that I’d eventually end up playing for England, so I guess it just goes to show if you stick (pardon the pun) to anything long enough it’s amazing what you can achieve.”
