QC INSPECTOR

JOB DESCRIPTION
 
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
  • Management and control of all externally and internally produced certification relating to goods, services and equipment supplied by the Gateshead businesses.
  • Management, control and reporting of defect reports generated by the Gateshead businesses.
  • As a result of the above two points, collate, prepare and supply documentation packs in line with customer requirements in order to despatch with the equipment being supplied.
  • Provide inspection services for the Assembly & Test/Mackleys areas including goods inwards, part and final inspection.
  • Manage, control, investigate and reporting of customer complaints, which occur generally after despatch of the equipment.
  • During quiet periods assist in all areas within the Mackleys business as directed by the Senior Project Engineer/Assembly Business Manager.
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:
  • NDT of equipment during or on completion of in house manufacture.
  • Outside inspection of equipment does not form part of this role however, due to exceptional circumstances may on rare occasions be required.
  • Any other duties within your capabilities as instructed by the Assembly Business Manager.
 
EXPERIENCE    
    Ideally to have:
  • experience in a manufacturing/material support environment
  • materials management experience
  • Experience and knowledge of working to QA procedures
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
 
QUALIFICATIONS
  • HNC or higher (or demonstrable experience in a similar role)
