Macmillan Coffee Morning - Gateshead

Gateshead held their annual MacMillan Coffee Morning on Friday 18th September 2020, hosted by Louisa Keir, Senior Payroll Administrator/HR Assistant, albeit under strict social distancing measures this year.

The office staff at Gateshead donated all the cakes (baked and bought), and whilst this year it was very different due to the social distancing (everyone was encouraged to choose their drink/cake and return to their own workspace to enjoy).  £475 was raised (donations and raffle tickets).

Raffle prizes (all donated by employees) were:

First prize - 1 overnight stay for 2 people at the George Washington Hotel and Spa, bed and breakfast

Second prize – 1 litre bottle of Jack Daniels, Tennessee Honey.

There were also a number of smaller prizes that winners could choose from: bottle of prosecco, tins of chocolates and some bottles of lager.

With the Company Charity Matching Policy, a total of £950 has been raised for MacMillan Cancer Support.

Thank you to all who donated cakes, money, prizes and bought raffle tickets, and especially to Louisa for organising the event in line with the social distancing guidelines.
