Long Service Awards
Duncan Ellison (Assembly Business Manager) and Andy Fairbairn (Machine Shop Team Leader) were both presented today with their long service awards by Dave Watson, General Manager – Gateshead businesses (social distancing adhered to: Chris Lyall, Machining Business Manager and Maureen Judd, HR Manager were also present). Long Service Awards were a certificate to commemorate the occasion and gift vouchers (as chosen by the individuals).
On 1st September, 2020, Andy had attained 40 years’ service with Clarke Chapman. Andy commenced with Clarke Chapman back in 1980 as an Apprentice in the Machine Shop and with the exception of a secondment to a sister company at the time (Parsons) for 4 years, Andy has remained in the Clarke Chapman Machine Shop as Machine Shop Team Leader.
Duncan attained 25 years’ service with Clarke Chapman on 1st September 2020. Duncan joined the company in 1995 as a Graduate Trainee. Duncan’s first position following his graduate training was in CC Manufacturing as a Technical Support Engineer. Duncan transferred to Wellman Booth Division in 2006 as a Project Engineer/Manager before being appointed as Assembly Business Manager at Gateshead in 2019.
Congratulations to both Andy and Duncan on such a brilliant achievement and thank you for your continuous support, commitment and loyalty to the business.
