Clarke Chapman at The Royal Opera House

Standards are everything when you are working where only the very best will do. Clarke Chapman Facilities Management (CCFM) skilled maintenance technicians took onboard the stage maintenance at The Royal Opera House at Covent Garden to ensure that what ever happens “the show goes on “

Several years ago the Royal Opera House underwent a multi million pound re-fit.  Some of the most up to date technology and advanced PLC control systems are now operating in and around the stage area to allowing the production crew to move large sets from one place to another without disturbance.

CCFM technicians are responsible for the day to day functioning and maintenance of all the main electrical, mechanical and fabrication/modification work around the stage 24 hours a day  7 days a week. Working as a team is one of the reasons why they are so successful in this environment.

During the night shift they are able to carry out all essential planned and routine maintenance on the 148 winch machines and fly bars at a time which doesn’t interfere with the daily rehearsals and practice sessions. The stage floors are operated by hydraulic power packs, which lift and move 48 elevators and bridges into position. Clarke Chapman installed and collated the maintenance schedules for this equipment.

With a wealth of experience and technical back up, CCFM are able to offer its clients a complete service from monthly on site meetings to day-to-day running taking care of all engineering requirements. This philosophy allows the client to concentrate on what they do best, while letting CCFM get on with what they do best, all-round maintenance to keep the client's business flowing.
