Gateshead Machining Facility Handle Upsurge in Business

Clarke Chapman Machining Ltd, Gateshead, in the North East of England, announced today they are running close to full capacity; their medium to heavy machining capability means they are in the enviable position to handle the upsurge in renewable, offshore and specialist projects.

Very recently the heavy workload took it took its toll in the factory when one of Clarke Chapman's CNC vertical borer's  (one of four machines) had its main rotary table bearing fail. This is a rather special bearing which according to the original bearing manufacturer was on a 156 week delivery! However, with all hands on board an alternative bearing was sourced and available from a supplier in Eastern Europe on a 19 day delivery. This provided the opportunity to give the machine a general overhaul before receipt of the new bearing and get it back into business as quickly as possible in record time.

As a customer focused company, Clarke Chapman has built up long term relationships with their clients. They have a good reputation in terms of price, delivery & quality and have seen their order levels steadily increase as these clients experience growth.  Their main customers come from a diverse range of industry sectors giving them the security that if one sector becomes quiet another can normally compensate resulting in a steady flow of work.

Clarke Chapman Machining Ltd has just won a contract from another new customer for machining a range of large fabricated housings. This work has long term potential and as usual they will endeavour to satisfy this valued new client so the work continues long into the future. The customer needs this level of commitment so they able to plan the expansion of their business with confidence.
