ELECTRICAL MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR
LOCATION: RNAD COULPORT

JOB DESCRIPTION
The main duties of this position will include:

The daily supervision & control of a small team of electricians who maintain & repair defects on the electrical /C&I systems on the explosive handling jetty (EHJ) including EOT cranes.

The planning of maintenance & defect repair activities to satisfy key performance indicators defined by the client.

The processing of maintenance documentation using a computerized management system. (i.e. Comac EASE)

The preparation of H&S safety documents (e.g. safety programmes, permits for work, risk assessments) in your role as an Electrical Authorised Person (HV & LV).

Acting as shift supervisor /point of contact when the EHJ is operational.

Diagnosing faults on equipment and preparing method statements for repair.
This position will be based on a standard 37 hours per week. However, shift working (including weekends) is required during key operational periods (approx. 125 days/per year). On call support is also required during silent hours. (i.e. 1 week in every 3.)
EXPERIENCE
Previous supervisory, administration & practical experience in a similar highly regulated engineering environment is desirable.
QUALIFICATION
Applicants must be either:
Theoretical knowledge and practical ‘hands on’ experience of electrical power distribution and modern industrial control equipment including PLCs and variable speed drives is highly desirable. Good fault finding and diagnostic skills are essential.
Familiarity with MS Office (i.e. Word, Excel etc) is desirable.
Must have a valid driving licence.
